It was a normal day, the birds were chirping, people were coming into the zoo and smiling. Giraffes were eating, and penguins were swimming until a little four your old boy fell into a gorilla's habitat. This gorilla's name was Harambe.
The boy seemed like he was unconscious, however, he was moving and aware. The gorilla came up to him and started to pet the child. The people all around his cage were screaming and yelling which startled Harambe. He picked up the young boy and people eyewitnesses say that he dragged him through the water. From my perspective, the gorilla was trying to take him away from all of the screaming people because he saw them as danger.
When he supposedly dragged the boy, actually that is how gorillas carry his own so hombre was helping him not harming him.
Finally the zoo employees came and Haranmbe was so protective of the child it got him killed. The zookeepers shot and killed him, instead of using a tranquilizer dart which would have not hurt him nor the child. In my opinion he died a hero. I believe he should not have been killed because animals have rights too and it was completely unfair what happened. If everyone would have stayed calm, Harambe would not be dead and the zoo employees could have helped the child sooner.
it has been 2 years since his death and he has been a topic of controversy and yet his legend never died.
