From June to August of 2014, the average temperatures, were 62.78 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s 1.28 degrees higher than the 20th century average, according to an article by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. That makes it the warmest summer since record keeping began in 1880.

NOAA reports that the oceans contributed more to the warming trend than the land temperatures as of 2014.

Overall, 2014 is shaping up to become one of the hottest years we've seen. NOAA reports that the first eight months of 2014 were the third warmest on record for the same time period, with an average temperature of 58.53 degrees Fahrenheit.

Climate Change has been starting the heat trend as far back as 2014. The average high for 2017 is 66.4 degrees Fahrenheit. An obvious increase from way back in 2014 with an average high of 58.53 degrees Fahrenheit.

This could mean that hot places like Arizona could suffer from further heat and hotter temperatures. Arizona will likely become hotter and hotter in the next few summers.
